Darba
Darba or Kusha grass is a tropical grass considered a sacred in vedic scriptures and is said to purigy the offering during such rituals since vedic times. It is the second most sacred herb in the vedas after soma. It helps to protect from toxic radiation and negative energies of all types. It energetically shields the area around it from curses, ghosts, demons and the negative energies created by negative thoughts. It is believed that this grass has immense purigying properties. At the time of eclipse, people place this grass in food items that could ferment and once the eclipse ends the grass is removed. Darbha grass thus acts as disinfectant for food items.
