Saraswati Pushkaralu 2025 is a sacred 12-day Hindu river festival dedicated to River Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge and wisdom. This rare event occurs once every 12 years when Jupiter (Guru) enters the Mithuna Rasi (Gemini zodiac sign). In 2025, thousands of devotees will gather at Saraswati riverbanks (notably in Telangana and Karnataka regions) to take a holy dip (Pushkara Snanam), believed to cleanse sins and grant spiritual merit.

During this auspicious period, devotees also perform Pitru Karmalu – ancestral rituals such as Tarpanam, Pindadaanam, and Shraddha – to honor their forefathers and help them attain peace (moksha). The presence of sacred river waters and astrological alignment makes this the ideal time for ancestral offerings and liberation rituals.

These ceremonies are typically performed by qualified priests at designated Pushkar Ghats, and are especially powerful when combined with Pushkara Snanam.
