మాఘ మాసం శ్యామలాదేవి నవరాత్రులు 2023 జనవరి 22న ప్రారంభమై జనవరి 30న ముగుస్తాయి..వీటిని గుప్త నవరాత్రులు అని కూడా అంటారు అంటే ఈ పూజ గోప్యంగా చేసుకోవాలి..సాధారణంగా ప్రతి సంవత్సరం మనకు హిందూ క్యాలెండర్ ప్రకారం నాలుగు నవరాత్రులు వస్తుంటాయి..అవి ఏవిటంటే..1. మాఘమాసంలో  శ్యామలాదేవి నవరాత్రులు.2. ఆశ్వయుజ మాసంలో శారదా నవరాత్రులు.3. ఆషాడ మాసంలో వారాహి నవరాత్రులు.4. చైత్రమాసంలో వసంత నవరాత్రులు.ఈ 2023 వ సంవత్సరంలో మాఘమాసం మనకి జనవరి 22 శుద్ధ పాఢ్యమి ఆదివారం నాడు ప్రారంభమై, ఫిబ్రవరి 20 అమావాస్య సోమవారం నాడు ముగుస్తుంది. శ్యామలా నవరాత్రులను మాఘమాస శుద్ధ పాఢ్యమి నుండి నవమి వరకు 9 రోజులపాటు జరుపుకుంటారు....

పుష్య మాసం లోని ఆఖరి రోజు వచ్చే అమావాస్యను చొల్లంగి అమావాస్య అని కూడా అంటారు. ఈ చొల్లంగి అమావాస్య చాలా విశేషమైనది.శ్రీ మహావిష్ణువు వైద్య నారాయణుడి గా / వీరరాఘవునిగా ఆవిర్బవించిన రోజు కూడా చొల్లంగి అమావాస్యనే.అందుకే ఈరోజున మనం ఎంత భక్తి శ్రద్దలతో విష్ణువును పూజిస్తామో అంత చక్కని ఫలితం వస్తుంది అని శాస్త్రం చెబుతుంది.ఈ అమావాస్యకి రోగ హరణ శక్తి ఉంటుంది అని మన పెద్దలు చెప్పియున్నారు. అలానే ఎవరైనా దీర్ఘ కాలిక వ్యాధులతో భాధ పడేవారు ఈ చొల్లంగి అమావాస్య నాడు ఒక ప్లేట్ తీసుకొని చక్కగా కొంచం బియ్యం పిండి,పంచదార, (చూర్ణo చేసుకోవాలి )దానికి కొంచం యాలకులు పొడి కలిపి అవునెయ్యి వేసి విష్ణు సహస్ర నామo పారాయణం..
